Terms & Conditions
Effective from September 2026. Please read these terms carefully before handing over your articles for processing.
Bill / Challan
Customers are requested to retain the original bill or challan issued at the time of booking. The original bill or challan should be presented at the time of delivery of processed articles.
Delivery Without Original Bill
If the original bill or challan is lost or unavailable, delivery may be made only after satisfactory verification of the customer's identity and ownership of the articles. Brightways reserves the right to request additional identification or information before releasing the articles.
Article Count
Customers are requested to verify the number of articles mentioned on the bill/challan at the time of booking. Where the customer is unavailable to verify the count, the count recorded by Brightways at the time of receipt/processing shall be treated as the applicable recorded count, subject to any discrepancy reported within the applicable complaint period.
Inspection at Delivery
Customers are requested to inspect their articles at the time of delivery. Any visible issue, shortage or discrepancy should be brought to the attention of the store staff immediately. Issues that could reasonably have been identified at the time of delivery should be reported promptly.
Complaints / Service Concerns
If a customer is not satisfied with the quality of a service, the customer should contact the concerned Brightways outlet or company within 24 hours of delivery, preferably with the original bill and the concerned article available for inspection. Brightways will examine the matter and provide an appropriate resolution based on the circumstances.
Cleaning Method & Professional Care
Brightways exercises reasonable care in handling and processing articles entrusted to us. Each article is processed using a cleaning method considered suitable based on its fabric, construction, condition, care instructions and other observable characteristics.
Care Labels & Article Condition
Where manufacturer care instructions are available, they will generally be considered while selecting the processing method. If care instructions are missing, unclear, inaccurate or insufficient, Brightways may determine the appropriate processing method based on professional assessment of the article.
Colour, Shrinkage & Fabric Characteristics
Certain fabrics and garments may be susceptible to colour fading, colour bleeding, shrinkage, texture changes or other changes during cleaning due to their inherent characteristics, previous treatment, age, construction or manufacturing. Curtains and other textile articles may be particularly susceptible to shrinkage, including during their first cleaning. Brightways cannot guarantee that such inherent or reasonably foreseeable characteristics will not occur.
Embellishments, Accessories & Decorative Elements
Customers are advised to remove detachable ornaments, jewellery, valuables, special buttons, belts and other accessories before submitting articles for processing. Brightways shall not be responsible for damage to or deterioration of decorative elements, embellishments, embroidery, beads, sequins, buckles, buttons, shoulder pads, trimmings or similar components where such damage results from their inherent condition, attachment, construction, age or the cleaning process reasonably required for the article.
Pre-existing / Hidden Defects
Brightways shall not be responsible for damage, holes, cuts, scratches, stains, colour changes, shrinkage, weakening of fabric or other defects that become apparent during processing where such condition arises from defective manufacturing, adulteration, deterioration, ageing, previous repairs or treatments, normal wear and tear, prolonged storage, environmental exposure or other pre-existing conditions.
Stain Removal
Brightways will make reasonable efforts to remove stains, marks and unwanted spots using methods considered appropriate for the article. However, complete removal of stains cannot be guaranteed, particularly where stains are old, chemically set, previously treated or deeply absorbed into the fabric.
High-Value / Designer Articles
Designer wear, luxury garments, high-end fabrics, bridal wear and articles requiring specialised or complex processing may be priced separately after inspection. The applicable charges will be communicated to the customer before processing wherever reasonably practicable.
Pickup & Delivery
Pickup and delivery services are subject to availability and operational feasibility. Delivery timelines provided by Brightways are estimates unless a specific delivery commitment has been expressly confirmed. Delays may occur due to operational circumstances, transportation issues, weather, unforeseen events or other circumstances beyond reasonable control.
Unclaimed Articles
Customers are requested to collect processed articles within 15 days of the scheduled delivery date. Brightways may contact customers using the contact information provided at the time of booking regarding pending collections. Articles remaining uncollected beyond the applicable holding period may be dealt with in accordance with Brightways' prevailing unclaimed-article policy and applicable law.
Valuables / Cash
Customers must ensure that cash, documents, jewellery, valuables, electronic items or other personal belongings are removed from articles before handing them over for processing. Brightways shall not be responsible for valuables or belongings inadvertently left inside an article and subsequently lost, damaged or rendered unrecoverable during processing.
Force Majeure / Events Beyond Reasonable Control
Brightways will make reasonable efforts to complete processing and delivery within the communicated timeframe. However, Brightways shall not be responsible for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, fire, flooding, strikes, transportation disruptions, government restrictions, civil disturbances, accidents or other similar unforeseen circumstances.
Loss or Damage During Processing
Brightways takes reasonable care of all articles entrusted to it. Where an article is established, following inspection and assessment, to have been lost or damaged during processing due to circumstances attributable to Brightways, any compensation shall be determined in accordance with Brightways' applicable compensation policy and the nature, condition and value of the article.
Compensation Limit
Subject to applicable law and the circumstances of the particular case, compensation for an article established to have been damaged or lost due to Brightways' responsibility shall ordinarily be limited to 10 times the processing charges for that article or โน3,000, whichever is lower. This limitation shall not be interpreted as excluding any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Article Inspection for Claims
Any claim relating to loss or damage may require the concerned article to be presented to Brightways for physical inspection. Customers should not alter, repair, wash, dye or otherwise modify an article before Brightways has had a reasonable opportunity to inspect it.
Changes to Terms & Conditions
Brightways may revise or update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Updated terms will apply to transactions placed after the revised terms become effective and will be communicated or made available through appropriate channels.
Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by applicable laws of India. Subject to applicable law, disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts at Faridabad, Haryana.
Customer Acknowledgement
By handing over articles to Brightways for processing, the customer acknowledges that they have been provided access to these Terms & Conditions and agrees to the terms applicable to the transaction, subject to applicable law.
